Recommendations on newborn health
These series of recommendations are those responding to the “what” questions i.e. what health interventions a newborn should receive and when s/he should receive them including health behaviours that s/he should practise (or not practise). A strong recommendation is one where the desirable effects of adhering to the recommendation outweigh the undesirable effects. A conditional recommendation is one where the desirable effects of adhering to the recommendation probably outweigh the undesirable effects but these trade-offs were not clear. Wherever possible, the strength and level of evidence of each recommendation, as well as the link where it can be found, are included in these compilations.
